The wavenumber shift in SAR interferometry

چکیده
Abstrac/-SAR surveys from separate passes show relative shifts of the ground wavcnu mber spectra thaI depend on the local slope and the off-nadir angle. We discuss the exploitation of this spectral sllift for different app] ications: I) generation of "low noise" intcrferograms benefiting phase unwrapping, 2) generation of quick-look interferograms, 3) decorrelation redllction by means of tunable SAl{ systems (TINSAR), 1 4) range resolution enhancement, and 5) the combination of SAR data gathered by different platforms (airborne and satell ite) for a "long-lime coherence" sludy.

Multibaseline Polarimetric Sar Interferometry Forest Height Inversion Approaches
Polarimetric SAR interferometry (Pol-InSAR) is a radar remote sensing technique that is sensitive to the vertical distribution of scattering processes in volumes. The Random Volume over Ground (RVoG) model is a powerful tool used to invert forest height from PolInSAR data. But Pol-InSAR inversion performance depends critically on uncompensated decorrelation contributions (i.e. temporal decorrel...
متن کاملDetermination of the displacement rate of the Masouleh landslide for management of landslide risk by Radar Interferometry
One of the most common natural phenomena occurring in mountainous regions of the world is landslide which causes critical damages and is considered as a natural disaster. Iran is a country which annually suffers from this disaster and its consequent damage of about 500 billion Rial. Over the last 15 years, an increasing number of researches have aimed to demonstrate the applicability of the im...
متن کاملIdentification of the Location Phase Screen of Ers-envisat Permanent Scatterers
The phase time series of a point-wise Permanent Scatterer shows an additional phase shift passing from ERS to ENVISAT. This shift depends both on the existing 30MHz frequency shift between ERS and ENVISAT and on the location of the PS within the slant range resolution cell. The phase shift changes from one PS to another, but it is constant for all the ENVISAT images and is called "location phas...
متن کاملRange Cell Migration Correction for Phase Error Compensation of Highly Squinted SAR
Phase error compensation within motion compensation techniques requires range cell migration corrected SAR data. The main contribution of this paper is providing a non-approximated range cell migration correction (RCMC) for processing highly squinted SAR data. Embedded in the conventional Omega-K processing, the approach consists of two coordinate transformations carried out in the 2D frequency...
متن کاملComparison of Local and Non-Local Methods in Covariance Matrix Estimation by Using Multi-baseline SAR Interferometry and Height Extraction for Principal Components with Maximum Likelihood Approach
By today, the technology of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry (InSAR) has been largely exploited in digital elevation model (DEM) generation and deformation mapping. Conventional InSAR technique exploits two SAR images acquired from slightly different angles, in which the information of elevation and deformation can be captured through processing of the phase difference of the image...
